This position will be located in the Alexandria, VA/Metro DC area.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Regional Crisis Management Coordinator will work closely with the client’s Corporate Security team, Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF), third-party vendors, and key business stakeholders to support the implementation of crisis management plans and mitigation strategies in response to potentially disruptive events affecting client business operations within the AMER region. There are two key areas of focus for this role:

  • Training: This individual will be responsible for conducting threat assessments across AMER in order to identify the most relevant training opportunities for members of individual crisis management teams. This training must then be created, organized, and delivered on a regular cadence.

- Administrative: This individual will be responsible for capturing, editing, and properly storing sensitive information created when a crisis management team activates. Additional tasks will include roster management, data analysis, and generating bespoke reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage with local business stakeholders to promote and provide awareness and training to drive consistency and compliance to achieve successful outcomes and foster a resilient culture within the client location (to include Crisis Management and Incident Response).

  • Assist in the development and implementation of training and awareness programs and conducting regular tests and readiness exercises of the incident response, communications, business resiliency technology, and tools.

  • Support stakeholders’ briefings, training, and exercising to develop, rehearse and test incident to crisis response capability.

  • Maintain the database of incident and crisis management plans, playbooks, and all associated documentation.

  • Assist in the response to emergencies and significant disruptive events impacting corporate office buildings

  • Support the implementation of command, control, communication, and situational awareness processes during crisis management response

BASIC QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • 5+ years' experience implementing and managing incident response, crisis management, and business continuity programs.

  • Ability to dive deep into data, existing processes, people, and technology challenges in order to identify risks and opportunities

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple complex projects.

  • Experience in managing the response to significant disruptive events.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the written and oral communication skills necessary to build relationships and positively influence decision-making.

  • Works iteratively, delivering quickly and frequently to produce high-quality documents and outputs which require little to no rework

PREFERED QUALIFICATION

  • Understanding of Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Resiliency Planning

  • Strong understanding of crisis management and incident response.

  • Knowledge of industry standards for crisis management and business continuity and operational risk management (ISO 22301, BS11200, ISO31000)

  • Familiarity with Six Sigma principles

  • Strong critical thinking skills that enable problem solving and understanding complex, dynamic issues.

  • Track record of having earned the trust of leadership by challenging norms, upgrading team performance, enabling growth, improving efficiency, and leading individuals without having any authority over them.

  • Has the proven ability to think outside of the box, challenge industry norms and adapt quickly to evolving requirements
