Allied Universal® is hiring a Vice President, Procurement and Logistics. The Vice President, Procurement and Logistics is responsible for overseeing and facilitating AUTS’s procurement strategy, managing the AUTS supply chain, overseeing all logistical support functions such as fleet, field office warehousing, product inventory, shipping/receiving, and product pre-assembly. The role helps ensure an optimal balance of quality, cost, and positive customer experience for all AUTS service offerings through continuous improvement initiatives and developing strategies to improve AUTS’s economic value proposition.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop strategies to ensure products are procured at the optimal cost so that they can be resold at maximum profitability and delivered on-time pursuant to established need-by dates while maintaining AUTS’s quality standards

  • Develop, administer, and governs standard operating procedures for procurement of products and services to be resold by AUTS, including, but not limited to vendor prequalification and approval, negotiating terms and conditions of reseller agreements, managing vendor relationships, establishing internal cost reduction tactics and targets, aggregating purchases when possible, to take advantage of scale economies, etc.

  • Analyze supplier spend data and continuously looks for ways in which to optimize AUTS’s supply chain, both domestically and internationally, in order to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability

  • Liaise with international AUTS/SI stakeholders to ensure global supply chain optimization and assists those stakeholders with negotiating economically favorable contract terms

  • In partnership with AUTS executive management, establish and maintain AUTS’s standard approved products list, and ensures compliance (non-deviation) by Sales and Engineering

  • Oversee the administration of standard product SKUs within the AUTS quoting and proposal development back-office systems, and routinely works with suppliers to automate and streamline the same

  • Partner with various functional groups (Executive Office, Accounting/Finance, Sales, Operations, Engineering, HR, Legal, Marketing and Real Estate) in discovery, contract negotiation, optimizing economic value, on-time delivery of product & services, cost management & reduction, supplier & partner risk mitigation, and vendor scope of work development

  • Develop strategies and standard operating procedures for AUTS logistics, including fleet management and provisioning, technician tool provisioning, equipment rentals, product resale inventory controls, subcontractor engagement, shipping/receiving, and multi-product solution kitting

  • Provide oversight, direction, development and coaching to direct and indirect reports in order to ensure successful execution of AUTS’s procurement strategies

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders pursuant to AUS’s vision and mission to identify organizational inefficiencies, models potential cost reductions and ROI, and tracks and reports on savings to ensure bottom-line realization/re-investment decisions

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all vendor purchasing and reseller agreements, including pricing, terms, and historical purchasing volume

  • Personally manage relationships with top-tier suppliers including conducting business reviews, resolving escalation issues, negotiating agreements, administering rebate programs, etc.

  • Contribute to corporate initiatives and change management as we continue to evolve our strategic procurement maturity in support of strategic goals

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field of study

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in leadership roles in direct/indirect procurement in complex organizations

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience leading a global shared services strategic sourcing / procurement function with multiple customers

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience leading the development and management of category plans or sourcing strategies

  • Demonstrated expertise in contract and partnering agreement negotiations, including development of negotiating plans and strategies

  • Strong influencing skills and change management experience with the ability to successfully manage complexity and multiple priorities

  • Strong relationship-management skills and ability to influence at senior leadership and executive level, both internally and externally

  • Demonstrated experience of building strong collaborative relationships with different stakeholder groups of varying levels, building trusted advisor relationships to navigate and influence demand, resolve conflicts, and deliver results

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, intellectually curios, and a critical thinker who can work through complex business issues and make decisions quickly; highly proficient at analyzing and leveraging historical data and market intelligence to drive strategic shifts at the broader business level

  • In-depth understanding of the electronic security supplier marketplace across all categories; working knowledge of fire/life safety, audio/visual and telecommunications marketplaces is desired but not mandatory

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; capable of managing multiple simultaneous initiatives, shifting competing priorities, and meeting deadlines

  • Ability to foster collaborative working relationships with global cross-functional managers, vendors, subcontractors, and customers

  • Excellent organizational skills, teamwork, leadership development, and lean/problem solving capabilities

  • Articulate written and verbal communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively and cross-functionally in a global, matrixed business structure

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing global procurement and logistics/distribution solutions; working knowledge of order, material, process, and transaction flow throughout the manufacturing and global logistics/distribution cycle

  • Substantial experience in inventory control, logistics, ocean/ground transportation and internal distribution management within a global organization

  • Demonstrated and effective partnership skills with logistic and warehouse 3PLs

  • Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Project

  • Possess both a results-orientated and tireless work ethic - determined to meet and exceed targets and drive accountability throughout the Operations organization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with SAP and best-of-class logistics and warehouse management systems

  • Six Sigma certification

  • An advanced degree, such as an MBA

  • Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) Level 4 certification, Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM) certification, Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification, or equivalent thereof
