Allied Universal IT Applications Specialist-Sharepoint in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania
Allied Universal is currently seeking an IT Applications Systems Specialist to provide applications system support to maximize customer satisfaction, end user experience, and product uptime for core applications provided and hosted by the IT Applications team in a 24/7/365 highly available environment. The individual will become a subject matter expert in application hosting, functionality and use within the business environment. The individual will be the primary escalation point for all application issues for business units and the IT Support Desk, experience supporting SharePoint is required. The individual will partner with the training department on training materials and product rollouts.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as Subject Matter Expert for internally hosted application platforms, data process flows between internally hosted applications, third party externally hosted applications and third party service vendors.
Serve as Subject Matter Expert and primary administrator of Allied Universal’s internally hosted SharePoint environment.
Application issue resolution: accept escalated application issues from the IT Support Desk and business units. Perform analysis and provide primary issue resolution for reported application issues. Coordinate with software vendors and Allied Universal’s developers and Database Administrators as needed.
Review, monitor and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing internally hosted systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
Assist in providing 24/7 critical support for supported mission critical business applications.
Deploy and test enhancements to current software or the interoperability of off the shelf software. Develop test plans, coordinate User Acceptance Testing, communicate and provide feedback to IT management and other stakeholders on test results (defects, bugs, errors, successes/failures).
Participate in projects that aligned with the supported applications and used to achieve the business objectives of Allied Universal.
Release management: provide documentation and/or work with Training department to educate the end user population on new features available in applications.
Document business practices and workflows related software applications.
Occasional travel and overtime to meet project deadlines
Participate and contribute as a positive role model to Allied Universal's IT Department and to the organization as a whole
Collaborate with Allied Universal’s IT Infrastructure team to ensure proper resource sizing of application servers.
Build relationships with third party software developers and in house development teams to gain an understanding of application architectures, required functionality and issues in program logic.
Periodically perform data cleansing activities in the applicable databases.
Develop reports, dashboards and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity.

An Associate degree in a business or technical field is required.
A minimum of 3 years of work experience is required with a minimum of 2 years working in application systems administration
A minimum of 3 years of work experience supporting/administering Microsoft SharePoint. Microsoft SharePoint certifications are a plus.
Able to conduct research into application issues and products
Manual software testing is required and with automated tools is a plus.
Ability to make decisions and work independently
Demonstrate ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments, and effectively manage deadlines.
Must be highly proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization while functioning as a team player.
