Allied Universal Regional Manager – Retail in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Allied Universal® is hiring a Retail Regional Manager. A Retail Regional Manager collaborates with the Vice President of Retail to manage a portfolio of shopping centers across a designated territory. As a leader, you will oversee security operations, provide world-class service to clients, and drive profitable business growth within various retail markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Leadership & Client Relations:

  • Lead Account Managers and security teams, collaborating with mall management to ensure a safe environment.

  • Supervise, motivate, and train on-site management teams.

  • Travel up to 70% to client sites and industry events to strengthen relationships and address critical issues.

Operational Oversight:

  • Serve as the primary contact for on-site Security Directors on performance, operations, emergency response, and department needs.

  • Provide 24/7 critical incident communications to clients and Allied Universal leadership.

  • Coordinate the execution of security programs based on client expectations, including threat management, incident reporting, and law enforcement collaboration.

Risk Management & Compliance:

  • Conduct ongoing risk analysis and make recommendations to reduce vulnerabilities.

  • Manage Fire & Life Safety programs across locations and oversee Active Shooter& Emergency Response exercises.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as SAFETY Act Certification standards, through regular inspections, audits, and action plans.

Financial Management:

  • Manage the P&L and drive financial performance through budget allocation, revenue growth, profitability, and maintaining cost controls to achieve all financial targets

  • Partner and review Accounts Receivable balances with Account Management to uphold sound financial practices, including billing, resolving unpaid invoices, and payroll accuracy.

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • Must possess one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, business or a related field with five (3) years of management experience in a high-volume workforce environment or service industry

  • Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business or a related field with seven (5) years of management experience in a high-volume workforce environment or service industry

  • High School diploma with ten (7) years of management experience in a high-volume workforce environment or service industry

  • Current driver’s license if driving a company vehicle or personal vehicle in the course of conducting business (e.g., client visits, attending networking events)

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience, driving operational and financial metrics while demonstrating strong financial acumen

  • Minimum of (2) years of experience in successfully building and developing teams

  • Leadership skills that foster teamwork, innovation, agility, client relations and achieving desired results

  • Ability to collaborate across multiple business units and regions to creatively support client's growth and satisfaction

  • Results-oriented problem-solving skills that meet client and employee needs while running a profitable business

  • Proficiency in web-based applications and computer systems, including Microsoft Office and Business Intelligence (BI) tools for metrics analysis, reporting, automation, and presentations

  • Dynamic networking skills displaying a commitment to safety and trust by participating in local community, client and industry events

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Law enforcement, military, mall security, and/or contract or proprietary security services experience

  • Experience managing a dispersed workforce in a multi-location operation

  • ASIS Board Certified Protection Professional (CPP)
