Allied Universal® is hiring a Nuclear Security Training Supervisor. The Security Training Supervisor ensures that the security protection services provided at any nuclear facility meets or exceed requirements set forth in policy, contracts, and applicable laws through the required Technical and Qualification training program. This position develops and maintains training practices to foster a Safety Conscious Work Environment (SCWE). The position is responsible to for developing training materials, conducting training, and maintaining documentation to ensure that security personnel are properly trained and qualified for the job tasks they perform. The Training Supervisor manages the drill and exercise programs to ensure they meet regulatory compliance. In addition to training requirements, the position may track and ensure that security personnel are current in all job qualifications and/or certifications. The Training Supervisor supervises training instructors and staff to ensure that they are qualified and are conducting training tasks according to policy and procedures. This position assists with hiring and promotion processes.
SITE SPECIFIC MINIMUM REQUIREMENT/QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 21 years of age, with a valid driver's license
Associate’s degree and/or five (5) years’ experience in a field related to the security industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience noting increasing levels of responsibility sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
Prior CPNPP Supervisory and/or Instructor experience required.
Additional relevant experience may be substituted for the required education.
Strong administrative and personnel communication skills required.
SITE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Position is responsible for supervising the training and qualifications of the Nuclear Security Force to include:
Supervision and scheduling of Training instructors, development of lesson plans and materials, range activity and maintenance, and maintaining records.
Provides direction to the Security force and oversees those Training processes with regard to the CPNPP Physical Security Plan, Training Qualifications Plan, Safety Program, Corrective Action Program and Contingency Plans.
This position also requires substantial and essential interface with the CPNPP Emergency Planning organization and local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.
Individual may be required to act as the Project Manager in the absence of the Project Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the Training and Qualification program for nuclear security force members
Supervise training program instructors and staff; perform periodic evaluations and administer corrective discipline as needed
Administer state guard (officer) licensing program as Training Agent (as required)
Manage regulatory compliance for drills and exercises
Manage purchasing and control of inventory for training program supplies and equipment
Document and track compliance with qualification requirements for security force members
Manage the development of training curriculum, lesson plans, and materials
Conduct evaluation and assessment of contract security personnel
Participate in decision making for promotion of contract security personnel
Provide professional development of nuclear security employees
Participate in recruitment efforts and make recommendations for selection and placement of personnel
Ensure a Safety Conscious Work Environment (SCWE) is present and properly reinforced
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess a high School diploma or equivalent
Must possess a minimum of five (5) years of instructional, supervisory, or management experience
Knowledge and experience with the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional supervisory/management experience in the implementation of training programs and firearms instructions at a nuclear facility
College degree in Criminal Justice, Education/Training, Business Management, or another related field
National Rifle Association Training Counselor Certified
National Rifle Association Instructor Certified in one or more of the following:
Personal Protection
Patrol Rifle
Basic Pistol
Home Firearm Safety
Range Safety Officer
Knowledge or experience with state-government license training programs or certifications
Other professional regulatory certifications
Proven background of implementing cultural and process change across organizations in a service-oriented industry
