The GEM Analyst in the Security Operations organization is responsible for reviewing, tracking and remediating potential security incidents, alerts and compliance issues across the enterprise. The GEM Analyst supports the GTI Analyst for Global Events Monitoring (GEM) and helps manage communication efforts, exercising judgement with defined procedures and frequently interacting with customers, internal partners, peer group leaders, vendors and Global Safety and Security Management to properly respond and execute their duties.
The GEM Analyst must be detail oriented, have a strong aptitude in communication and analytical thinking when responding to events, as well as having a team first mentality. Daily responsibilities will focus on the monitoring of global events and reports from a variety of security systems and tools. This person must be able to effectively comprehend data and compose clear and effective communications that will have a global audience.
Monitor, review, track and remediating potential security incidents, alerts and compliance issues across various intelligence platforms
Evaluate global incidents that may impact company assets and escalate accordingly to security management and subsequently to other business units within (HR, IT, Legal, Facilities, country leaders, etc.)
Exercise good judgement with defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate risk assessments and action(s).
Escalate findings to the GTI Analyst, GSOC Lead, and/ but not limited to the GSOC Supervisor in order to work with Security Engineers and vendors to build and/or deliver viable solution/suggestions for streamlining processes
Able to communicate with Senior Security management on matters related to escalations of global incidents, operational issues and critical situations.
Specialize in one or more intelligence platforms to exploit the full capabilities of the systems
Communicate, track, document and report progress on projects/initiatives and areas of responsibility
Interface with the GTI Analyst and up to Client Managers to ensure proper function of systems, tools and reports
Support global team members in the delivery of Security based products and services
Work with the Global Safety & Security team to develop improvements of the overall GSOC operations and security posture
Establish operational objectives and determine and work plans, and delegate assignments to GSOC Operators
GSOC Liaison, act as primary escalation point for 3rd party managed security services vendors
Work incidents to completion with involved parties and track resolution in incident management tracking system
Able to manage and handle situations of a sensitive nature and maintain company’s confidentiality and information security practices (medical record, personnel issues, investigations, public relations incidents, emergency personnel contact information, etc.)
Conduct investigations and provide reports to Security Management team as requested

LIST REQUIRED CERTIFICATION(S) If applicable
High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years Security or GSOC Experience
Associates Degree or equivalent experience
• Microsoft Office
• C-Cure Access Control System
• Travel Tracking Software
• Tableau experience (can be taught to a motivated apprentice)
• Experience with incident case management systems
Must complete and pass CritiCall Proficiency Assessment and Certification with designated passing score or higher
Exceptional critical thinking skills and decision making capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Proven ability to provide written and verbal briefings to high standard. Performs well under pressure, is able to manage stressful situations.
Works well independently; A proactive individual who is process-driven and detail-orientated. A good team player with the ability to work in a cross-cultural, virtual environment and fosters strong remote working relationships.
Manages multiple complex tasks and work to short deadlines.
Proven ability to work within a shift system, and experience of conducting written and verbal handovers.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and to work evenings, weekends and holidays as requested or required.
Exceptional information analysis abilities.
Strong analytical writing skills to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
Proven ability to write and speak effectively and professionally in clear, concise English.
Computer proficiency in various Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) as well as Ccure alarms, Genetec video.
Some knowledge and experience with the use of quality and/or continuous improvement tools, techniques, practices, etc.
Ability to deal with internal and external customers and to ensure compliance with deliverables
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all information and data.
