Position Overview:

As a Commercial Security Senior Service Technician, you will play a pivotal role in servicing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting access control equipment and IP-based video systems. This includes a comprehensive range of tasks such as working with electrified and non-electrified locks, card readers, IP and analog cameras, intercom systems, and more. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional skill, productivity, and adherence to Allied Universal Technology Services' (AUTS) core values at all times.

Requirements:

  • Valid State Driver's License

  • Valid NICET certification or willingness to obtain

  • 5+ years of field experience in electronic security systems (access control, video management systems, intrusion detection, and more)

  • Fire Lite, Notifier, Simplex, Edwards, Silent Knight

  • Avigilon, Axis, Genetec, DMP, Bosch

  • High School Degree, Vocational School or equivalent required

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical and electronic aptitude

  • Available for scheduled “on-call” duties to respond to emergency service calls

  • Understanding of Windows operating systems and overall IT network topology

  • Highly proactive and skilled individual, and at all times maintain performance consistent with Allied Universal Technology Services (AUTS) core values

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-based environment with minimum direction

  • Good verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal & external customers

  • Capable of lifting up to 50lbs and work on ladder heights of up to 16’

  • Be able to work independently or as a member of a team

  • Vacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly. Unused vacation is only paid out where required by law.

Scope of Work:

  • Drive to sites using company vehicles to perform service

  • Travel to commercial client sites to service, repair, and troubleshoot access control equipment and IP-based video security systems, including electrified and non-electrified locks, card readers, ancillary door devices, cameras, head-end video recording devices, wired and wireless systems, and intercom systems

  • Troubleshoot system installations in such a manner as to identify issues and apply the most effective and efficient resolution consistent with company installation standards; identify and repair physical security systems as required to ensure operability and compliance with any applicable building code

  • Apply all necessary documentation for tracking of service-related issues

  • Utilize tools and equipment safely and effectively

  • Interpret electrical schematics, CAD drawings, and related documents for low-voltage applications

  • Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Provide remote diagnostic support via phone and online channels

  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned by leadership
