Allied Universal Certified Protection Officer Team Lead in San Francisco, California

The Certified Protection Officer Team Lead will lead the team that provides unarmed security response to Unwanted Public Interactions, Vehicle Recovery Events, and complete multiple security functions to support the resumption of autonomous Vehicle operations. The Team Lead is responsible for communicating accurate and timely recommendations on business and security related risks or actions required for the organization, providing management and administrative coordination support under the Client’s “Certified Protection Officer” program. Must be able to work weeknights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Shifts are 10-hour shifts, must be able to work 8pm to 6am, 7 nights a week, on a rotation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Have the ability to resolve problems in a timely manner through alternative solutions or group problem solving.

  • Be able to write clearly and informatively, supervise the quality of written staff work product, and be able to read and interpret written information such as threat advisories and SOPs; excellent verbal communication skills are also required.

  • Be able to analyze threats and envision potential or real-time impact on client operations with the ability to develop or implement response or mitigation strategies; synthesize a large volume of information – able to communicate accurate and timely recommendations on business and security related risks or actions required to the organization with a solid focus on detail.

  • Display original thinking and creativity, meet challenges with resourcefulness, generate suggestions for improving work, and develop innovative approaches to complex problems.

  • Balance customer service and best practices in rapid response security based on the Contractor’s expertise.

  • Define, implement, coordinate and supervise the protective strategy, resources and training to best provide services.

  • Develop goals and objectives that are consistent with the agreed upon strategies.

  • Manage and supervise Contractor resources assigned to the Client to ensure high quality and consistent levels of security and service.

  • Collaborate with team members to identify areas of improvement in people and processes, implement solutions to foster team cohesion, communication and increase employee engagement.

  • Provide regular and consistent communication regarding issues relating to employment, payroll, benefits and leave requests with the Director of Operations or Human Resources.

  • Attend regular client team meetings reporting on the team’s activities and achievements.

  • Demonstrate understanding of the service relationship with the client. Maintain professional boundaries while working with the client or their service providers.

  • Conduct regular security assessments of appropriate client facilities and areas of interest.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years military, law enforcement experience with a federal, state or local law enforcement agency, security management, security control room experience in a supervisor capacity – 5 years of general Customer Call Center or Customer Service supervisory experience also acceptable.

  • Must be able to complete and maintain state Guard Certification as required by the state of California as well as all client requested certifications.

  • Ability to resolve problems in a timely manner through alternative solutions or group problem solving.

  • Proficiency in computer applications, general understanding of security systems and general technical aptitude through demonstrated experience.

  • Ability to work as an individual or member of a team.

  • Must have excellent judgement, discretion and diplomacy skills.

Compensation & Benefits:
