Allied Universal Financial Analyst – Pricing and Bid Support in Santa Ana, California

We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst - Pricing & Bid Support to join our corporate team. This role has high visibility and daily interaction with executive leadership. We are looking for a confident self-starter to provide bid pricing and contract negotiation support. This individual will also support the finance organization on ad hoc projects.

Primary responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide financial support to all sales and operations levels regarding the company’s rate negotiation process.

  • Represent the Pricing Team on kick off calls with Sales, Sales Leadership, Operations Leadership and the two other support functions Legal and the Proposal Team

  • Complete profitability audits of large contracts as they relate to contract compliance

  • Maintain financial models for pricing bids and supply financial information to leadership which allows them to make business decisions about pricing for clients and prospects.

  • Provide financial analysis for all new and incremental business

  • Prepare company financial performance metrics and ratios for RFP bid packages

  • Work with training to help improve divisional financial analytical capabilities that will allow for improved divisional participation in contract renewal/retention and rate negotiations

  • Support sales and operations by attending client meetings as the financial expert to assist in the pursuit of new opportunities and retention of current client base

  • Communicate often and effectively with the regional teams while balancing time to analyze data and contracts

  • Perform other related tasks, projects and ad hoc analyses as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and at least two years of related work experience developing financial metrics, reviewing financial statements or financial models.. Contracts pricing experience is a plus! Additional requirements include:

  • Professional leadership and communication skills to effectively disseminate critical information to all levels of the organization.

  • Strong Attention to detail, accuracy is a must

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required

  • Ability to present complex financial information succinctly in writing and verbally to the executive team

  • Professional presentation/public speaking skills a plus

  • Advanced Microsoft office experience – primarily Excel

  • Demonstrated problem solving, confidence and decision making ability to manage shifting priorities, demands and timelines

  • Multitasking in a deadline driven environment experience a plus

  • Must be comfortable operating autonomously and taking ownership of projects and the results

  • Ability to work together with a team on both team and individual goals or deadlines
