Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer to work at a Tech Company located in San Jose, Ca.
Pay Rate : $27.95 / Hour
Shift : Morning / Monday to Friday

The Lobby Ambassador will work as part of a team dedicated to providing support for day-to-day business functions in relation to access controls that ensure safe and secure workspaces at the site. This person will be responsible for promoting a warm, welcoming, and professional environment for all employees, building management, and the general public. The ideal candidate is excellent with customers and has an impressive ability to communicate, as well as having an administrative background.
Responsibilities (Major Duties)
Providing and supporting day to day business functions in relation to access controls
Greet guests and coordinate all visitor, temporary, and permanent badging support needed
Takes telephone inquiries, answers questions regarding Badge office policies, procedures, badging issues, clearance issues, visitor issues, etc.
Photographing access badge users (employees, Contractors, consultants) on site
Updating or adding manual badge user profiles in the security system platform with required data and print/produce access badges
Manual adding/revoking access for all user profiles in the security system during the access badge provisioning life cycle as required.
Resolving badge user interactions in relation to requests for access with the appropriate approval as required
Creating, issuing, and managing temporary access badges
Resolving badge user interactions in relation to issues involving access controls (user issues, badge issues, system hardware/software issues) or escalating to the appropriate resolver groups as required
Ensuring that all investigative and audit related communications and documentation are professional, confidential, clear, accurate, and complete
Oversight of access control automated and integrated process for consistency and proper functionality
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Skill Requirements
Must possess critical thinking and problems solving skills
Must be a proactive hands-on, very customer-focused and results oriented person who is comfortable taking on a problem and solving it
Must be able to work effectively with little supervision
Must possess good verbal and written communication skills in the English language
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate in a technically oriented environment with all levels of individuals in the organization
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) to produce effective reports
Must possess good telephone and radio communication skills
Must be able to function in emergency situations
Must possess a professional demeanor and have excellent customer service skills
Must be able to multi-task in a dynamic environment
Must be able to work independently while also being a team player
Must possess intermediate computer knowledge and typing skills
Must possess a solid employment history demonstrating reliability and dependability
Minimum Requirements:
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience

Other Requirements
High School Diploma or general education degree from an accredited institution.
Preferred: 1 year of customer service or related experience
Preferred: 1 year of security, investigations, or asset protection related experience
Preferred: Previous experience with access control or integrated security systems
Must be able to pass Basic First Aid / AED and CPR training
