Allied Universal Security Officer - Strike Detail Long - Term Temp in Sarasota, Florida

Hourly Pay Rate: $22.00

This is a long-term temporary detail that will continue for an undetermined length of time.

There will be no benefits associated with this position.

24/7 coverage will be needed. All shifts. Multiple officers needed.

Weekly pay

Candidates MUST:

  • Possess a valid State of Florida Class 'D' License

  • Work 12-hour shifts/7 days a week for an undetermined length of time

  • Work any schedule needed (mornings, evenings, overnights)

  • Be willing to travel to Sarasota or live locally in the Sarasota area

  • Be willing to be on stand-by to assume detail the end of June/beginning of July

As a Emergency Response Officer at Allied Universal®, the Emergency Response Officer is responsible for maintaining a high visibility uniformed presence, responding to a variety of emergency situations. The Emergency Response Officer will provide assistance during acts of violence, crisis, and other incidents. Emergency Response Officers will assist by providing first aid, conducting evacuation, and engaging threatening individuals.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Identify and respond to emergencies including in-progress acts of violence, crisis, weapons incidents, explosive incidents, natural disasters, and a wide range of issues posing a hazard to lives and/or property using the appropriate escalation of force up to and including armed response by following established protocol.

  • Conduct surveillance operations

  • Assist in emergencies by securing the scene to prevent further loss or damage, advise personnel of threats and potential threats, summon emergency responders to the incident, and initiate and conduct evacuation procedures

  • Render appropriate first aid to injured persons and follow established protocol for reporting injuries

  • Safeguard and maintain highly sensitive information

  • Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons

  • Respond to direction and/or orders from supervisory personnel, especially in the context of an active shooter, assault, or other similar situation.

  • Move from location to location at appropriate speeds

  • Physically engage with a person who is threatening others

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Formal Education, Licenses, Investigation, and Certifications Required:

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

  • Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • The ability to carry or move another individual, including one who may be injured

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT:

  • Various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat

  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds

  • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift

  • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods

  • Must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law
