Corporate Security Badging Office Shift Supervisor

About the role:

The Badging Office Shift Supervisor will work alongside a well-selected team of professionals in a fast-paced environment. A successful candidate for this role will ensure accountability and oversight into successful daily operations, Badge Technician guidance and support, and seamless transfer of information and action items between shifts. Duties include but are not limited to: assuming ownership of shift-based operations as well as helping employees and contractors resolve their badging issues via phone, intranet, and in-person. In addition, you will be responsible for assisting with various administrative badging duties.

A Badge Technician’s duties are primarily focused on resolving access control issues and spearheading badging related special projects. Badging related special projects and duties include, but are not limited to: compiling access control reports, managing badging supplies and shipping, and Badging Walk-Up office services.

In addition, the Shift Supervisor may support The Badge Reimagined (TBR) and Vendor Escort Program (VEP) teams in troubleshooting security access control issues as a Badging Subject Matter Expert (SME).

The person hired for this role will have direct day-to-day contact with our clients, regularly report to members of senior management, will need outstanding written and verbal communication skills, an exceptional ability to multitask, a great attitude and work ethic, to be a self-reliant team player, and have the ability to leave a consistent positive impression with each and every interaction.

Role Requirements

  • Have previous supervisory experience ideally in a security role, customer service or in an administrative management position

  • Be comfortable with owning special project execution, advanced operations troubleshooting, and employee development

  • Have experience in evaluating performance and providing feedback while demonstrating a strong work ethic to lead by example

  • Be a proactive problem-solver and have the ability to multitask and remain cordial, calm, and professional in stressful situations

  • Be able to learn and apply complex Corporate Security Badging Operations solutions while maintaining a firm grasp of company policies and procedures

  • Have excellent phone etiquette and people skills

  • Need to have a positive attitude and outgoing personality

  • Need to be proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite

  • Maintain punctuality and strong time and resources management skills

  • Proficient ability to effectively read, write, and speak clearly in English

  • Type at least 35 wpm

Preferred Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in badging, access control, security operations center, military TOC (or similar)

  • Have an Associate’s degree and/or background in organizational management

  • Have experience in collaborating within a team to develop internal resources
