Allied Universal is seeking the position of a Security Patrol Driver . As a Security Patrol Driver for Allied Universal, you will be Responsible for the Security and Safety of our client’s property and personnel. As the Allied Universal Security Patrol Driver, you will know all site-specific policies and procedures, and implement emergency response activities as appropriate, while providing superior customer service.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Under limited supervision, Security Officers is responsible to help safeguard the personnel and property of our customers from safety and security hazards and to play a role in enforcing the client’s safety and security rules and regulations. This includes but is not limited to:

RESPONSIBILITIES (Major Duties)

· Interacting with a variety of persons including: clients, visitors, public safety officials, employees and the general public

· Enforcing client and company policies and procedures

· Badge Compliance

· Property Movement Compliance

· Regulating and directing traffic, as necessary

· Escort employees to their vehicles, as requested

· Respond, compile and report all information in regards to theft, alarms, accidents and other incidents that may occur

· Recognize, respond to, and mitigate incidents that may have an environmental impact

· Break lobby officers and console officers

· Observe and report all unusual activity

· Report all building utility/ service issues as observed and instructed to facilities

· Notify, assist and direct emergency personnel as necessary

· Security access of authorized personnel into building including visitors and their employee sponsors, client employees and / or contractors

· Allow access to authorized personnel for secured areas

· Patrol, check and/ or secure access areas into and onto client's premises, as well as, highly sensitive locations within the buildings

· Operate telephone and radio equipment

· Monitor Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) and alarm panels for emergency and entrance into buildings

· 1st Aid/CPR/AED Responder & Emergencies

· Prepare all required written reports, including but not limited to: Daily Activity Reports (DAR’s) and Incident Reports

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be able to walk, run and climb stairs

· Must be able to repetitively open heavy glass and metal doors

· Must be able to life objects weighing up to 50 pounds (opening & closing roll up doors)

· Must be able to tolerate exposure to outside elements including inclement weather for an 8-12 hours shift

· Must have sufficient hearing to respond to normal verbal speech, alarm signals, radio and telephone communications

· Must have sufficient visual acuity to read and understand tenant rosters, employee listings, post order, maps, computer screens, check identification (such as company badge or drivers license) and to distinguish the faces of employees, contractors and visitors

· Must be able to stand, walk, and/or drive for up to 90% of an 8-12 hour shift (There may be times when an officer is required to work up to 12 hours straight to meet the operational needs of the Company)

· Must have a command of the English language that is easily understood

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Posses a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years verifiable experience

  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner

  • Valid guard card/license, as required in the state for which you are applying

  • As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws

  • Driving Positions: must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required

  • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills

  • Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites

  • Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently

  • Vehicle patrol of exterior areas of assigned locations and foot patrol of interior/exterior areas of assigned locations

  • Able to:

  • Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat

  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds

  • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift

  • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
