MSA Security, an Allied Universal® Company, is hiring a Kennel Manager. The Kennel Manager oversees all Continental United States (CONUS) kennel operations through the management of staffing and logistical needs; inter-departmental coordination, and deployment / repatriation support of canine movement at the Global Canine Services Center.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and oversee Continental United States (CONUS) kennel operations

  • Coordinate, supervise, and deliver training to other kennel workers; develop training materials for implementation

  • Develop CONUS kennel work schedules, ensuring 24/7/365 staffing

  • Evaluate established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for innovation and development when and where needed or applicable; provide expert-level advice on SOP updates throughout the operation as well as lead the update of SOPs under their scope of authority

  • Responsible for the overall cleanliness of kennel facilities, temporary kennels, and vehicles utilized to transport canines

  • Responsible for ensuing all canines housed in the kennel facility are groomed, fed, watered, and exercised daily

  • Generate / update reports, spreadsheets, and other documents using a set schedule and prescribed approach; create / distribute presentation materials for meetings in collaboration with senior personnel

  • Organize and carry out daily priorities as needed to overcome unexpected challenges

  • Coordinate with program administrators in all business- related transactions under the GCS program

  • Analyze and forecast supply and equipment needs through evaluation of consumption demands, innovation and streamlining of processes, and use of appropriate inventory management protocols

  • Utilize established SOPs to ensure contractual and company compliance within all aspects of kennel operations

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a United States citizen and possess, or be able to obtain a United States Passport

  • Possess a valid US Driver’s License, if driving a company- or customer-owned vehicle

  • Possess, or be able to obtain, a minimum of a Secret level security clearance

  • Must possess one or more of the following:

  • High School diploma with a minimum of four (4) years of experience in administrative and logistical support management

  • Associate’s degree in Business, Project Management, Criminal Justice, or related field of study with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in administrative and logistical support management

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Criminal Justice, or related field of study

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a success customer service role

  • Minimum of two (2) years of administrative and logistical support/management in a supervisory capacity experience in one or more of the following:

  • Overseas military deployment

  • Federal government security

  • Law Enforcement experience

  • Ability to build / maintain professional working relationships

  • Ability to be on-call for after-hours communication, as needed

  • Ability to travel as needed

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while handling multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to read installation maps to determine the shortest and safest route

  • Basic mechanical skills

  • Knowledge of traffic and safety regulations, practices, and procedures pertaining to motor vehicle operation and passenger safety rules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Kennel operations experience

  • Experience handling working canines

  • Career military
